The Instrumentation / Controls Engineer will work with cross-functional groups as well as effectively support other engineers in order to complete projects on time and within schedule. Additional responsibilities include participate in Factory Acceptance Testing, plant startup, and provide ongoing customer support. Assist the project team to develop and execute total preventive maintenance plans to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the facilities.

What You'll Do In The Role

  • Maintain controls systems for custom equipment utilizing Auto CAD Electric
  • Troubleshoot and program machine controls including Allen Bradley, GE iFIX, and historian Ladder Logic
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshooting for field instrumentation, and when necessary receive maintenance request and generate correspondent work order with the aid of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Participate in engineering work and tests (FAT, I-FAT, etc) and site activities (SAT, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning & Start-up) as well as in maintenance and troubleshooting jobs
  • Monitor and supervise internal TPM and sub-contractor work;
  • Support electrical and PLC systems
  • Share technical expertise with crews to support efficient operations

Qualifications You Should Have

  • 4 years of experience and demonstrated success as a Manufacturing/Controls Engineer in a Manufacturing or Assembly Facility.
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical Industry, or Water Treatment Plant Operation
  • Associates or Bachelor’s technical degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Must have a working knowledge of automated assembly systems, a good understanding of the basic theory of industrial control systems applications, design, and operation including concepts of power distribution.
